Slow Down You’re Doing Just Fine
Slow down, you’re doing just fine. Read that again: You’re doing just fine.
You don’t need to be doing more all the time. I know your dreams are big. I know it can feel like time is slipping away. But creation isn’t just about movement. It’s also about stillness. It’s about joy, rest, and letting yourself breathe. You’ll always have a to-do list. You’ll always be busy but please, don’t let your life blur into a checklist.
Just for a second, tune in with me into the present moment and look around. Pause, look at all that you’ve already built. Yes, you’ve made it this far already. Let’s take a moment to celebrate the process and all that you’ve gone through and overcome - because isn't the journey really what it’s all about?
So, slow down. You’re doing fine, you really are :)
“SLOW DOWN YOU’RE DOING JUST FINE” Digital Illustration, 2025.
this illustration is a reminder to slow down
When was the last time you had “nothing” to-do day? If it helps, schedule rest right into your planner. Block off a few hours. Make it non-negotiable. You deserve time to just be. This is your reminder to have those carefree non-task related days and to let yourself enjoy the in-between.
We can still show up for our work and give it our all but, we don’t have to be serious all the time. You can lead with an open heart. You can tune in and follow your body’s rhythm. Your intuition knows what’s best. Sometimes we just gotta go out to relax and play.
We’ve been taught to push, to grind, to hustle, to keep going but that doesn’t work all the time. We’re allowed to soften, to receive, and to move at our own pace. Rest is not the opposite of productivity. Rest is part of creation. Your ideas, your spark, your joy, they’re waiting for you in that space.
So take a moment. Breathe. Be in your body. Co-create with life instead of pushing against it. And don’t forget to have fun in between all the meetings, emails, and goals.
the moment that inspired this illustration:
What inspired this illustration was going through burn-out on my own. I constantly found myself in this cycle of taking more and more on. The more I took on, the more pressure I felt and the more pressure I felt, the less I wanted to do things I worked so hard for. There are ways to achieve your goals in a sustainable way - I hope this a reminder if that. This one is for you, if you’ve been moving too fast.
